How can I become an Archaeologist?

I am a student of B.A. II year and my subjects are history, social science and political science. But I want to become an Archeologist, so please advise me in terms of the way forward.

    Archaeologist are work in the historical department of the Government. Most of the Archaeologist work in the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) for pre-history and museum branches, exploration, epigraphy, excavation, etc.

    Recruitment of Archaeologist is selected through exams which is conducted by UPSC and the State Public Service Commission but Ph.D in archaelogy is must for the Higher post and also the ASI diploma.

    There are many University offering Post Graduate level of Archaeology such as-
    1. The Delhi Institute of Heritage Research and Management
    2. Banaras Hindu Uniersity, Varanasi (UP)
    3. Barkatullah Vishwavidhyalaya, Bhopal (MP)
    4. Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana)
    5. Institute of Archaelogy, Archaeological Survey of India.
